Without a doubt one of my all-time favourite parrots, I am very biased about greys as I just Purchased my first half of a pair from one of the breeders we represent at Parrots Australia. I am awaiting the other half from the other breeder. Needless to say I do think the Greys they produce are amazing.
My latest addition arrived just weaned and already talking and mimic! Well she was mimicking the dog in one night. It was so precise we now don’t know if it’s the dog or the bird barking.
Their intelligence is amazing and they just captivate ones attention. These parrots will not take backseat in the household, they want to be part of your life and they make their presence known. I cannot walk past her cage without her chatting and generally just capturing my attention.
A Grey I previously sold sleeps at the end of her new owner’s bed, I have been advised that many a night she has woken to find the Grey has crawled into her bed and is snuggled under her arm.
The hardest thing about purchasing an African Grey is finding one. We are just not producing enough in Australia to satisfy demand. I do believe prices will continue to rise as demand outweighs production.
The African Greys we promote at Parrots Australia will not disappoint you. The breeders do an exceptional job in hand rearing them to be an outstanding companion pet.
We believe Quality is the most important aspect to be considered when purchasing a parrot, and the Greys we promote are certainly quality birds.
